This solo storytelling performance traces my journey from boring banker to tailor, lingerie-maker, film extra and eventually a maths teacher who teaches sewing. Clothes-making sits at the heart of the show β with my heart very much on my sleeve β from costume work and managing a fashion label to tanning leather and dressing extras.
By turns funny and reflective, the show blends sharp humour with painfully honest reflections to trace the friendships, challenges and compromises that shape a working life β and the cost of chasing something more meaningful. Itβs about juggling jobs and relationships from below the breadline, missing opportunities, and digging so deep in search of meaningful work and creative fulfilment that you nearly lose yourself.
